Acts 10 מעשי השליחים

1.   Who is Cornelius, what do we know about him?

2.   How was Cornelius’ vision similar to Paul’s in the last chapter, how was it different?

3.   Why did Shaliach Shimon go on the roof, how was his vision similar and different to Cornelius’ and Shaul’s?

4.   What does Shimon Kefa mean when he says, he’s never eaten anything unholy or unclean, what Scriptures describe the regulations of clean and unclean foods?

5.   How did the “voice” interpret the vision for Peter, what was the vision really about; and what legal precedent was the “voice” making?

6.   How does vs. 23 show Shimon as having passed the first test in having obeyed the dream and the new Messianic halacha?

7.   Was Cornelius’ initial greeting of Peter upon arrival in his house just a mere form of human honor and hospitality or something more, why?

8.   What was the lesson Shimon Kefa learned about Messianic Halacha, where else is this supported in Tanakh and how is it just as applicable today in the Messianic synagogue?

9.   Why does Shimon Kefa assume that Cornelius and his family/friends are familiar with the story of B’nei Yisrael, and Yeshua (i.e. the “Good News”)?

10.                  What exactly did the Ruach falling on these Gentiles accomplish in the eyes of the Jewish apostles who witnessed it; and what did it forever settle in their minds and hearts?
